Are you going to be in the New York City area this weekend? If so please join us for the Annual Genealogy Conference hosted by AAHGS-NY and LDS this Saturday, March 18th, 2017.

 

Time: 11:00 am to 4:30 pm
Location: Harlem LDS Chapel, 360 Lenox Ave (128th and Lenox), Harlem, NY
Free and Open to the Public.
11:00 AM – 12:15 PM
  • Pre-conference activities will involve volunteer assisted questions and answers by consultation and computer.
12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Keynote address by Professor Gunja SenGupta, Chair Department of History, Brooklyn College
  • Film clips from the African Heritage Day, Roots Tech Conference
  •  Research-directed story-telling and information sharing by AAHGS-NY members.
  •  Reception immediately following

And That’s A Wrap!

I had the pleasure of being an exhibitor at this years National Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society conference in Pittsburgh, PA. I met and spoke with AAHGS members from all over the United States, I also intended a few very interesting as well as informative sessions with National AAHGS President Tamela Tenpenny-Lewis, Timothy Pinnick,Tony Burroughs, and Michael Williams. Below are a few pictures of some of the exhibitors.
