James Walker’s WWI Final Payment Voucher

James Walker’s WWI Final Payment Voucher

On July 12, 1973 the St. Louis National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) had a fire which destroyed most of the military records housed there but the St. Louis National Personnel Records Center did have his Final Payment Voucher available. Above is great Uncle Jim’s World War I Final Payment Voucher, these documents provided me with some useful hints about his military career. For example his rank, service number and his place and date of enlistment. This is a good alternative to lost military files.
